Lake Haven Lodge & Suites

I booked the room (for Motel Montreal) through Expedia and it was advertised as having a partial lake view. The room I was given (at Lake Haven Lodges & Suites) just had a view of the parking lot. I explained this to the person who checked me in. She didn't apologize or offer any alternate accommodations. She gave me a number for a reservation manager. I called and texted the number with no response. I called the number listed for the property and once again no opportunity to speak to anyone and no one called me back. I turned in the keys and tried to work with Expedia to get a refund.

Walking distance or a short drive to Lake George village and public beaches, restaurants, shops and attractions. Guests have free use of gas BBQ grills. Free parking and free Wifi with strong signal. We brought a grandson for his first visit to Lake George. Roomy two room King Suite, with a king size bed in one room; and futon, cable TV, dining table with three stools and fully equipped kitchenette in the other room. One and a half baths. Plenty of hot water. Spotlessly clean and updated rooms with very attractive and comfortable Adirondack decor. Air conditioned. It suited our party of 3 perfectly. We were very pleased.|The heated swimming pool is the star here. Clean, crystal clear, vacuumed daily and well maintained. The chemical levels are kept low so we swam for hours with no reaction

For a motel, the room was themed as staying in the log cabin. They are a stovetop, microwave, small high top table in the room. Lots of TV channels. The beds were a little hard and very high off the ground. My only huge complaint is the pillows are very, very flat. It's definitely a great location for walking distance to the village.

We loved our room here which was a 2-room suite with a small kitchen area, fridge, coffee maker, 2 infusion cooktop, toaster, sink and all the cookware and utensils you need to make a meal, actually had 1&1/2 baths. Very nicely decorated with a country feel, the pool is directly outside a good stretch of the rooms which was quite noisey, what we hated was that this motel is operated by a company that handles 3 other locations in the area and share the same staff, housekeeping, office check-in & check-outs and you have to call a number on the door the get any requests that you need during your stay. We found this very unprofessional and unpersonable and we'll probabaly avoid staying at any one of their locations.

Lovely location. 10 min walk to shepard's park beach + village. Mini golf + steamboat rides more like 23 min walk. Kayaking is right down the side street. Couple of restaurants across the street. Parking on site, although a little tight for bigger vehicles. Super cute and very clean room. Used the Jacuzzi and it worked nicely, good headrests. Nice looking pool. We didn't go in it but it looked clean and beautiful. Didn't seem too busy, was mostly quiet at the motel. Cons: at an intersection so lots of loud motorcycles. It's a motel set up so walls are thin, can hear people talking outside. A\c sounded like airplane was taking off. Very loud! Comes on at weird times. Like instead of being on constantly, it came on for 2 mins, stopped, then came on 5 mins later. Followed this pattern for a
