La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Times Square South

This is a small, quaint hotel that is incredibly located near Times Square (less than an 8 min walk)!! The price was excellent, it is clean, provides a complimentary breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold items and they have coffee/tea in the lobby 24/7! Definitely would stay again

Room & bath quite small; very clean. I think this (Rm 604) was the quietest NYC room I've ever had, esp as it wasn't that high up - virtually no street noise. Front desk helpful & friendly. 10 min walk to Moynihan/Penn Sta & many B'way theatres. Breakfast adequate; I saw other reviews re lack of seating but I was able to find a spot both days. Exc tiny coffee place across the street.

I want to give Gabriel, at the front desk, the biggest shout out. He is professional, personable and informative. The hotel is clean and extremely quiet. It appears to have been recently refurbished. It's located within a few blocks from the subway station. It's worth a stay.

We stayed at the La Quinta inn 38th Street on 1/7 thru 1/10 and although the room was alright the shower was not set up properly in my opinion. The door to the shower opened against the shower controls so you could not adjust the water while outside the shower. You had to scrunch up against the shower controls to turn the water on without getting hit by a column of extreme cold water or extreme hot water before you can adjust the water temperature. The door was probably installed backwards. Other than that the room was adequate as well as the location. The breakfast room was kind of small but okay. Would we stay here again? Maybe, if shower access doors were redesigned and installed it such a way that makes access to shower controls less difficult.

Really nice mid-range hotel conveniently located and walkable to many Midtown attractions, and easy to access subway stops. Hotel was clean and room was actually bigger than we anticipated. Service and staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was a bit skimpy and in a small basement room, but good effort to provide (also, lots of other places nearby for breakfast options). Would stay here again and would recommend to others.
