La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Stevens Point

We have stayed here in the past and like it, this time not so much. Reserved 2 rooms. The first room was not cleaned. Dirty towels and bed. Was moved to a different room. Bathroom floors had hair on them, you can tell the cleaning staff do not do a good job. The second room reversed was a king size, the room had and odor along with the hallway. The bathroom floor had what looked like pubic hair in the bathtub, along on baseboard and behind the toilet. We let the front desk know he wanted to see what we were talking about and did not think it was a problem, I ask to have the room cleaned, i was told no, that it had already been cleaned and was signed off as being cleaned and moved us to a double bed room. That was not what I booked and was unable to place us in a rooms to match our book

Very friendly and helpful staff. |Hot scrambled eggs and sausage for part of free breakfast best ever! |Rooms were clean, beds were great! To find this value all this for 67.00 a night. I would definitely go back. Swimming pool and hot tub a big plus. Very peaceful.

My room still smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Outdated? 100%. That isn't something I care about as long as the room/property are clean and cared for - which it initially appeared to be, but the more time I was here the more apparent it became. Brown stains on the comforter and towels. Curly hairs on the floor in the pool room too early in morning it is questionable on their frequency of cleaning that space. The framing around a door heading outside was completely gone. The breakfast was simple: waffle, cereal, bread items, eggs and sausage links. Security? Great. The exterior doors are always locked.

Important note, they advertise "free wifi" but you actually have to sign up for an account for the first 5 days free, and pay 5 USD for each subsequent day. Otherwise the hotel itself is quiet, simple, and comfortable. Decent variety at breakfast bar. Pool and hot tub were small but clean, not too busy most hours of the day. Strong options for convenience stores, and both sit down/fast food restaurants within walking distance.

Not bad. But also not great. Biggest benefit is it's the cheapest for a fairly decent hotel. Amenties are dated and the walls are thin. But it is also 50-75 a night...so you get what you get. It is better than some of those motels and cheaper than the other brand name hotels.
