Holiday Inn Stevens Point - Convention Ctr by IHG

Do not recommend! I understand why this was one of the cheaper options now. The room was okay and worked for what we needed but the entire hotel felt old and outdated, the receptionist was not very friendly and clearly burnt out. The pool itself was freezing cold, both the water and pool room. They did offer to use the pool across the street but it was a significant walk outside in the cold weather with young kids. The fridge in the room was not cold, we had to use coolers we brought to keep our food cold. There is NO hot tub or slide either even though one of the first few photos on google shows a slide and hot tub. The entire pool area felt disgusting, the floor of the pool needs to be replaced including cracked grates that are a hazard. The location is great but there are several other

My favorite hotel experience by far!  Friendly front desk staff - my room had all the things I desire in a room: comfy bed & pillows, microwave, fridge, a no step-in shower to a spacious space, a fan i& a night light in the bathroom, and BEST of all, a  (Keurig) coffee pot!!!  The room was very quiet all night as well, which made for a good nights sleep 😊

We came from Milwaukee for a wedding. Thinking we were coming into a small town, we didn't expect much. The hotel was awesome! The lobby made me feel like I was walking into a 5 Star expensive hotel. The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean with plenty of towels and toiletries. I was happy to also find a good ole digital alarm clock in the room! I am old fashioned and love being able to easily see the time 🤣

Positive: Great, clean hotel Negative: Absolutely! I simply needed the common courtesy of a bit later check out to accommodate my business travels and was told that the charge would be an additional $25. That’s irritating and unacceptable.

The rooms are neat and clean but offer only a coffee maker. Refrigerator and microwave. The people at the checkin counter were phenomenal. The location was good I could get to wherever I wanted to go within 19n minutes
