La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham St. George

We arrived at the hotel around 2:50 p.m., and while our room was not quite ready, the staff handled the situation very well. They were accommodating, apologetic, and worked quickly to rearrange us into a room that was available. We truly appreciated their professionalism and kindness. Upon entering the room, it was clean overall, which we appreciated. However, there were some maintenance concerns. There were visible cracks in the bathroom walls, and in the main area where the carpet meets the tile, there were raised sections of silicone that appeared to be lifting. This created an uneven surface that could potentially be a tripping hazard, especially for small children or for anyone walking through the room at night. Very large, clean room. Outdoor pool & jacuzzi warm enough to use. Spacious lobby and breakfast area. Warm cookies at night & dog biscuits. Their market had a lot of frozen entrees, which is good since the hotel is several miles south of town. A Burger King is within walking distance.

We stayed here two yrs ago for a night traveling through to AZ and were so impressed by the affordability & cleanliness of this hotel that we remembered it on our way through again this year and stayed a night. Although it cost more than before, we knew it to be clean and fresh with a very friendly staff. Brooklyn was at the front desk and was so kind and helpful. Plus she didn’t have a heavy accent. We could understand her on the telephone. A plus in our book if you know what I mean!! The breakfast was impressive as well. Many food choices. We will definitely stay here again.

Positive: The room was incredible. It was like a mini apartment. The bathroom was spacious and had a large tub and a walk in shower. The staff was friendly. It was very clean. Negative: The ice machine on the 3rd floor (the floor we were on) didn’t work. The tub didn’t have jets. But, those weren’t worth taking away stars or ratings. It was an amazing hotel.

I will be coming back! This is a great hotel! We loved that we could bring our sweet kitty with us as well with no questions asked! It was so nice to see all the furbabies! The breakfast was wonderful all of the 3 days we were there. The staff was wonderful also and the warm free cookies every evening was a great treat! The pool looked wonderful as well but we didn’t make it in. Maybe next time.
