La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham South Bend

I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about. This is a pretty nice hotel. You're not getting the Hilton or Radisson for the amount you are paying for these rooms. Everything was nice, all except for the original bathtub, but I can look over that. It was quiet even right next to the airport. Breakfast was decent for being FREE. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The folks here are amazing. My husband's truck broke down and his company set us up here. They have a great breakfast bar. The lady that sets it us was super helpful and very nice. The folks at the checking desk were also very nice helpful. Room was very clean and they are also pup friendly. There's not any restaurants close by. Yep we hade to get an Uber to take us to get a few things. We ended up being there for 4 days. We were also there during Jan 2026 Blizzard

Great option for early morning flight out of South Bend. We walked back to the hotel after returning our rental car. There is no sidewalk, but it’s easy to walk through the parking lot and cross the round about. We did use the hotel shuttle in the early morning to get back to the airport. The hotel is clean with friendly check in staff.

My room had motion detected lights that kept going on and off all night with no way to turn them off. I tried putting the ironing board in front of them to block the sensor to no avail. There was no privacy window shade either so between the lights going on and off and the lights from the parking lot and the adjacent airport it was very bright throughout the night. Only suggest considering this hotel if there is no where else in town to stay. The convenience to the airport was nice, but there are other hotels nearby.
