La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sherman

Renovations are not complete. I did not receive the room I reserved. The room I was placed in supposedly had been remodeled. The paint was chipped, the bathroom caulking was loose, the room door is damaged, and the AC unit was loud. The room was clean. The matress was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Paid to much for the quality of room. Front desk clerk lied.

The people make this hotel great. Quick, friendly checkin. Very clean room - housekeeping is doing a great job. The breakfast - eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, etc - was kept constantly replenished and meticulously tidy. We tried staying here to skip Dallas on a road trip east, and we will do it again. Splurge and get room 130 if you’ve got dogs - it’s a super quiet suite with the bedroom separated from the hall by the living area, in the back, and right next to the door for taking the dogs out. its also convenient on and off the highway, with lots of generic strip mall dining options (and Starbucks and a gas station next door). We will be back!

Decent stay for the price Check-in was easy and hassle-free. Our room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had mini shampoo, conditioner, and soap, which was a nice touch. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The bed had a noticeable stain—though I did check thoroughly and found no signs of bed bugs. There was also a hole in the bathroom wall. The hallway had a strong smell of weed, which unfortunately made its way into our room. Breakfast was included, but not the best. The eggs, sausage, and potatoes lacked flavor and were cold. The pancake mix was too runny. Still, it's hard to complain too much since it was complimentary. Overall, considering the price and comparing it to other hotel reviews, it was an okay place to stay.

I was given an accessible room which I did not need or book. They gave us a cojoining room in which my whole family could hear every moan, groan, yell, slap, bang, and detailed conversation. Loud music in parking lot after 12am. The A/C is very loud. To much reffraff around. Lobby was clean and picture online looked nice. The room looked clean as well. Staff was nice. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The worst stay I have had in 20 years.

Positive: The receptionist was the best. Negative: We could hear EVERYTHING in the adjoining room, even their 2am horror movie. They tried to keep it low, but we still heard. Also, the floors were always damp.
