La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Marshall

Great location, near major stores/ fuel stations, and coffee shops. The morning staff was very friendly, can’t say the same about the over night (after 9pm) staff. Breakfast was exceptional. My husband forgot his rings and the staff was able to ship it to us! That was amazing of them!

The rooms seem newly remodeled. The first room we got was on the second floor with king bed and jacuzzi tub. When we walked in the room it smelled like smoke and was horrible. My husband requested another room with same amenities and we were moved to a first floor room with no smoke. It is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. In the second room we got we were greeted with a ton of ladybugs 🐞 all over the bathroom ceiling. I have read it’s not uncommon in hotels as they seek warmth and moisture. We were fine with it, ladybugs are good omens, lol. The complimentary breakfast was great! I highly recommend the waffles that are shaped like the state of Texas. Positive: The lobby was updated and few things in the room like some tile and sink. Negative: There was mold in the bathroom, musty smell in the room. Lamps were rusty, furniture and bed were wore out and dirty. Don?t be deceived by how the nice renovated lobby looks. The rooms have not been fully renovated. I had to move rooms because the mold

The rooms smelled heavily of mildew, and we noticed black mold present in several areas. Unfortunately, this left multiple members of our group feeling ill during our stay.||When we reported these concerns to the general manager at the front desk, rather than addressing the issue, she shockingly chose to call the police and file trespassing charges against our party. The room had a strong smell of mildew. The hallway floor felt like the subfloor was giving out. You could feel holes beneath the carpet. The shower had low pressure and sprayed at the ceiling. There were several places where the drywall was chipped and cracking. When front desk staff was made aware, they seemed disinterested. This hotel needs some major repairs and better attention to detail. The walls are also paper thin so you can hear your neighbors very clearly.
