La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lubbock North

We stayed at La Quinta in Lubbock as first-time visitors to the area, and overall it was a good experience for the price. The hotel was very quiet, which made it easy to relax, and the customer service stood out—staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There were some minor inconveniences due to ongoing remodeling in certain areas, but it didn’t significantly impact our visit. It’s understandable that updates are needed, and we appreciate the effort to improve the property. Overall, a solid, budget-friendly option with great service.

We had to re-magnetize our key cards 2-3 times a day, the sink was clogged and drained very slow, the living room AC was broken, the toilet would constantly run unless you put the handle in a specific position after every flush, the pool was under maintenance, there were not enough outlets in the room and several didn’t work, and the hotel ran out of hot water by 8:00 AM. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was good, but we will not stay at this location again. There are good places to walk to dog across the street from the hotel, but the hotel grounds are mainly dirt with poor grass and too much dog poop from other people’s pets/not picking up their dog’s poop.

Great place to stay! Room was clean, beds comfortable. It was a handicap room and was very accommodating and accessible for my 91 year old mother. Breakfast was good with many choices. Breakfast area was spacious with lots of seating. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was easy to get to. The online check-in was nice. Last but not least the price was great for being a Wyndham member.

Positive: The female receptionist was kind and responsive. Negative: Very poor housekeeping and maintenance - the two rooms we had were not properly cleaned. Trash was left behind, along with hair, a nonfunctional A/C unit, an ant-infested sofa, one sofa bed had no mattress and the other was not functional. Dirty pool.

Got to my from (228) immediately checked the hot water for a shower and was able to get any hot water. I called the front desk and was assured that I would have hot water in the morning upon waking up to get ready. I did not have hot water and no one answered at the front desk so I was unable to switch rooms to shower. I was only there maybe seven hours just to sleep. I requested a call from the manager and a refund when checking out and haven’t gotten either. Also if safety is a concern of yours … I would suggest staying somewhere else. The back door was propped open for anyone to come in. It was not secure. Also, another concern of mine I wasn’t going to mention was the front desk attendant, who checked me in was on speakerphone with his friend the whole time and barely acknowledged me.
