La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham - Lake George

We stayed here during the week and the location was great. The price was also very affordable, which made it a good option for a short trip. I traveled with my daughter and our dog, and it’s definitely a convenient place if you are traveling with pets. The staff was very friendly, especially the older gentleman at the front desk. He was always joking and very helpful, which created a welcoming atmosphere. However, I think the hotel could really improve the cleanliness of the rooms and common areas. Even for a budget-friendly hotel, proper cleaning is very important. There was quite a bit of dust and some spider webs in the room. We are locals and came for a staycation with our 4 children. We didn't end up staying the night. We came mostly for the pool and it was so disappointing. The kids only lasted 30 minutes. The chemicals were so high, everyone's eyes were red and no one could breathe. They had to keep going outside. The pool is not heated and the hot tub was barely warm. It was cloudy and things were floating in it. We tried to do the arcade area but there was no place to get quarters and the games really weren't looking fun anyways. There was one lone man (very friendly) working the desk. It took an hour in line to tell them I was not paying for this! We left and did not stay the night. Positive: Jacuzzi in room Negative: The fact that the staff told a civilian the room number I was staying in AND proceeded to give them a KEY to my room!!! They were not listed as a guest in my room or allowed access.

We ran into a little problem but the nice elderly gentleman working corrected it very quickly and gave us a nice upgrade. The pool was great, hot tub could have been a bit hotter. And breakfast was amazing, my kids can’t wait to go back. Winter is to long and if your kids are bugging you to go swimming, this is the place to do so.

This was one of my top three stays this year. It was h7ge clean modern Staff is very accommodating. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable and huge selection of shows on TV. Bathroom was very large. It's also very child friendly. The hot tub was excellent. The pool and sl8de area very large also fun. Very close to down town.
