La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kearney

It was a very nice place to stay for a Christmas visit with family. Well maintained hotel with a pool and hot tub. A good hotel breakfast even on Christmas morning. Pet friendly and clean. We had a very spacious room with a separate sitting area. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a nice location with many very good restaurants close by, several in walking distance.

Positive: "" Negative: Car alarm sounding outside my room window for hour and a half. Front desk informed me nothing they could do and told me to call to police if I wanted it stopped. Ridiculous for guests to have to call police for disturbances occurring on hotel property.

Rooms look fine until you actually start looking closely at things. Dusty and dirty baseboards that don't look like they ever get cleaned. HORRIBLE pillows that are tightly packed into a weird square shape that you have to work to unfluff. Beds are so high off the ground that it was very hard for my elderly mother to get in them. Called to hook a dog friendly room and was up charged a lot more than the price I could have booked the room for online. Front desk staff was very nice.

Staff was friendly and efficient during the check in process, however the did NOT offer the welcome amenity I should be entitled to as part of my rewards level and they DID offer preference of floor for the room but they did NOT offer an upgrade, also something that should be offered as part of my rewards level. The hotel looked busy but not full. The room was nice and relatively clean, the typically of what I would expect for a Wyndham property. Beds are quite high, someone shorter or with mobility issues definitely would have issues accessing. Breakfast was ok, typical hotel breakfast, edible but nothing special. Overall, quiet, clean and mostly well kept, would recommend and would stay again.

Great place to stay when driving through Nebraska. Clean, comfortable and dog friendly! Tucked into a cul-de-sac not far from I-80. Beautiful exterior landscaping, dog waste bag stations outside are so appreciated, plenty of nice space for walking dog as well. Kearney has a variety of restaurants and businesses where you can find most anything you might need when traveling. Hotel staff is friendly. Senior discount is appreciated too!
