La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Detroit Utica

Positive: Nice staff, clean room awesome fridge Negative: can be very noisy if your room is by the common area, sheets had holes in them.

I'm a Wyndham owner, and I have stayed at many properties associated with Wyndham. But you guys are at the top. With it being the Valentine's Weekend. And your Hotel being booked full. Your service was amazing. I booked 4 rooms. All the rooms were close together. Very clean. And when needing anything extra ( towel/washcloth, bar soap ect. ). It was delivered in a timely manner. Your breakfast was a nice selection. Hot, and clean area to enjoy while eating. Thank you for making our stay an awesome weekend.

Everything in the non-smoking room was embedded with the smell as if smokers lived in that room for 20 years, the heater didn't work, the fan didn't work, it was 30° outside and the people at the front desk didn't care. I was here because my mother died, I had to stay somewhere to attend her funeral, and the room was absolutely disgusting. I should have just slept in a parking lot in my car somewhere , and as a bonus I was a gold member and they washed all my reward points away and never honored any free night stays , very sad experience

I see some of the concerns in some of the reviews, but I also want to point out that they're over embellished. I am staying here right now, and though there are some things I could do without... generally speaking this is well worth the money I paid. Its safe. There are cameras in every hallway. Families coming and going and of course you can hear people living their lives. I'm on the 3rd floor and it has been clean and quiet. People leave me alone, and I like that. My stay has been very pleasant, and I've even extended it considering they have been accommodating and helpful anytime I have needed anything. I work all over and my family is with me here and they are happy as can be. I truly and genuinely appreciate the staff and the hotel for being more than welcoming to us, and maintaining

The last time I stayed here was 22 years ago to the week,it was relatively new then. Most places go through remodeling.this place did some but quite outdated, several people living here. The smell of cigarettes in the elevator,weed in the hallways and various other odors throughout. I recommend spending the extra $40 going to other hotels nearby|#neveragain
