Hyatt Place Detroit/Utica

The rooms were very The service they had good service I’m a kid and they said have to wear a shirt and they said I have to put a sock on. That means they care about my safety that they don’t want me to get sick or anything like that and they’re following their rules and the people there they were nice the food it was great. The only thing I didn’t like was the pool a little bit. I loved it but a little bit too much chlorine. The gym was fantastic both out further do try it out.

Positive: This is the only hotel I have stayed at that I have been able to connect my box to directly with no issues and they even had a conveniently located power strip to connect to. The wifi worked great to play games on my Xbox with no connection issues. Negative: I did not like that the lights in the bathroom were on a timer and it would shut off while taking a shower. I also thought there should be a separation between the bathroom and sleeping area. So you could exit the shower area and have more room to dress.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times, and we always enjoy our stay. The location is very safe with lots of restaurants, stores, etc nearby. The rooms are always clean and cozy. Our daughter enjoyed the pool. And the staff are the best, always friendly & helpful. Roxanne at the front desk is awesome, she is great with kids. So if you are looking to stay in the Utica area, we highly recommend this Hyatt Place!

We've stayed at this location twice in the past 5 years and our most recent trip was last night. We were out of power at home so we decided to take the trip with our two littles so we could have heat, electricity, and make it a fun stay with the pool and Dave & Busters next door. The room is spacious and the beds are very comfy. I'm not rating the stay a '5' star because I'm pretty sure our room wasn't vaccummed before we arrived. We have a 1 year old who still likes to put anything he finds on the floor in his mouth and there was clearly food chunks on the floor pushed up along the bed frame and a few clumps of string/fabric remnants. The next problem is that we requested a pack n' play for the littlest one to sleep and it was dirty!!! Baby puke stains and a few other questionable substan

My very first time staying at this hotel was in 2008 shortly after they’d done some renovations and stayed there multiple times over a 2 year span before I moved to the East Coast. I recently stayed there after many years and the stay was very pleasant. The rooms were still clean, comfy and convenient! Breakfast was nice and the staff were incredibly courteous and wonderful to interact with. The location is ideal for me when I have occasion to visit and I will certainly return!
