La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Des Moines West Clive

Easy to get to. Very comfy beds, I honestly want to know where they get them so I can have one at home. I have had a spinal fusion and the bed didnt hurt my back at all, which is hard to find. They have an amazing breakfast.. a big pool and hot tub, I will say they might need to work on the jets. Some didnt work. But thats the only thing that could possibly be worked on. Other then that its definitely one of the top hotels ive stayed at in a long time.

This hotel is a no go. They not only thought it was funny to tell someone who asked for the easiest entrance to access my room because I'm injured and non weight bearing, using a knee scooter, to use an entrance with steps when my room was 2 doors from the desk. So either he was ignorant of his own hotel or was getting a laugh at my expense- it felt like the latter. Then 2 hours later the same desk person allowed someone to sit in their car in the parking lot with the music at a level that people a state away could have heard- and did nothing. It isn't worth the cheapest rate they charge. It's why they are the cheapest. They are also the worst

The rooms were ok here. The beds were less comfortable than some similar hotels. The hot tub jets did not seem to be working and the HVAC system in the room was quite touchy. It was a good value for the money and we would return.

Positive: It’s new (I visited in Aug 2025) and everything is still clean and nice. The area around the hotel is relatively undeveloped and although right by the highway it’s sort of quiet. Negative: The sink in my room drained slowly.

Good price, very nice room! Amazing breakfast buffet! Fabulous mattresses--semi-firm but with a thick smushy layer on top. I'm verrry picky about hotel mattresses. This stay will bring me back!
