Courtyard by Marriott Des Moines West/Clive

The original Courtyard layout with an atrium. Rooms nicely updated with up to date furnishing. Still separate toilet, tub with shower in a closable separate area. A full closet with lots of hangers and an ironing board with iron (these seem to be disappearing in remodels). Microwave, mini fridge, large screen tv with streaming options, and lots of power outlets (AC, usb-a, usb-c) even next to the couch. Great staff, friendly and attentive. A small parking charge at $7/night. Overall a nice comfortable hotel, easy parking and good rates.

The hotel was clean and nice, the staff was fab and so helpful and accommodating. We had a business stay here with 8 team members. They were super about stocking the meeting room we reserved and handling the food orders. The food and everything was perfect.

I was disappointed with the overall quality of the hotel. The accommodations felt very basic, and the mattress in my room had a large stain on it. There was also no protective encasement on the mattress, which is unacceptable for a hotel.

Positive: Very clean hotel. Room was clean and beds very comfortable. Pool and hot tub were a bonus for kids! Negative: Our refrigerator did not work, maintenance did come and fixed or replaced it. I turned the fridge on and it worked then by morning fridge was off again, disappointing.

The room was spotless, comfortable bed and pillows. Service excellent from check in to check out! Bistro server super friendly and attentive! New carpet in room and hallways and the courtyard a nice area to enjoy fresh air and sunshine! Also love no pet hair or barking dogs, sorry you animal lovers. It was a great stay, and a good location. Jeff the GM has managed this property for years, deserves 👏.
