La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Midtown - Buckhead

I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I had a very frustrating experience with this hotel. I booked this originally through Priceline and billed it with a card with a name different than the name on the reservation (it was for my sister and I used my card on Priceline). When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk clerk was very hostile about the fact that the names did not match, asked for my phone and to turn the camera on, took a picture of signage behind the desk, and then made me read it aloud. That signage stated the name on the card and reservation had to match. This was not listed on Priceline and Priceline allowed me to make the booking. However, Priceline does not let you change the name on the reservation after it has been booked. As a result, I had to rebook the room on the

Check in was easy. The young lady had no interest in the guest. More worried about chipping a nail and what th security guard had going on. Rooms were clean for the most part. Pillows were FLAT. Thermostat on wall didn’t control the air/heat as they said had to work it from the unit itself. Breakfast horrible. Powdered eggs. Sausage looked as if it needed to be “cooked” microwaved a little longer. Cereal and a bagel bout the best thing besides waffles. Noticed mold on ceiling in the shower and throughout bathroom. The stopper for the sink was pushed down and no way to get it up sink drained slowwwww. If you stay on back of hotel you have a wonderful view of the storage units behind there

First impressions are everything & the staff was amazing & very attentive. The lobby & room were spotless. The parking lot was clean & safe. The room I had gotten was surprisingly very affordable & huge for the price. I was surprised & happy to see Dove products in the bathroom & extra towels. Breakfast was good, only advice I would give is to have more morning breakfast staff. It seemed to be more people at breakfast than one person could keep up with, but they did a great job trying to accommodate everyone! Honestly, 10/10! If I had to choose a place to stay again, it would be here!

Positive: Nothing. Negative: Had a 2 month old hypoallergenic poodle i am allergic to cats, hospital like. They put me in a CAT ROOM. It reeked of urine my hair stood up. I ran out. They refused to give me a room off the pet floor. I lleft obviously. The whole place STINKS.

Great location the hotel and property grounds are maintained daily. They provide a filling complimentary breakfast just enough to get your day started. I've stayed here several times and the rooms are clean. I did experience an issue with the TV and the AC not working properly in the room but it was manageable.
