La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Amarillo Airport

The location is great if you need to be near the airport which is what we needed. The room I had was a King which was very spacious and clean. The only problem was with the front desk staff. The check in process took forever as they moved very slowly. This was in the afternoon when we checked in as well as very early morning when we checked out. Both shifts were staffed with elderly gentlemen who also had a hard time hearing. We had a large group as well so the process took even longer. We normally stay at IHG, Hilton or Bonvoy brands and dont have this issue.

Very clean, loved all the doggies that everyone got to take with them, room was so nice and clean, and breakfast was really good. They had fruit 🍑 out !! Don't see much of that anymore... Scrambled eggs, sausage one morning, bacon another, waffles, yogurt, boiled eggs, bakery items, cream cheese, coffee that was brewed correctly, cereal with fresh milk that was really cold, and fruit juices. And a lady actually cleaning the tables and keeping the breakfast area clean... I could go on and on.. || This La Quinta is right on I-40, and so easy to access. Big Texan steakhouse right down the road too. Just stay on interstate access road. Almost every popular restaurant in America, is in Amarillo... We all loved it. We flipped a quarter each nite to decide where to go... HA!! |

We always stay at this LaQuinta when passing through Amarillo to see our son. Great location close to good restaurants. The property is well maintained and the rooms are very clean. There is good lighting in the room and bathroom-something hard to find these days. Comfy bed. Definitely recommend.

Good location but barking dogs early in the morning made me wish I stayed on upper floors. Great Accessible room had a bed that was way too high. Received a nice apology letter but no indication they were going to change anything to accommodate paralyzed people. If you can't stand up then stay somewhere else.

We often overnight here on our trans-Texas journeys. It’s a lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious and modern. The beds are SO comfortable. The breakfasts are easy and delicious. The front desk staff is always friendly and accommodating. And our dog is welcome!
