La Quinta Inn & Ste by Wyndham Wisconsin Dells- Lake Delton

Our stay at La Quinta was extremely disappointing, both in terms of cleanliness and unexpected charges. First, the room was not clean. We found used socks left under the window next to the AC/heater, which is unacceptable for any hotel, especially one that claims to maintain proper housekeeping standards. Finding someone else’s belongings immediately made us question what else may not have been cleaned properly. On top of that, we later discovered an unexpected service fee charged to our credit card. When we contacted La Quinta, they told us the receipt was sent to Priceline, even though we were the ones charged. That alone was frustrating. Positive: Built in. 2020. Nothing shabby or worn. Pool area led to outside patio with fire pit.We got there quite early and desk found us a room although not same type, within 45 minutes Negative: Lack of some amenities in bathroom such as lotion. Also not offered at desk. For sale.Getting used to shampoo dispensers in shower.

My family was staying at the Wilderness but I wanted space to myself and a private soak in a tub. When I checked in I was offered rooms on any floor. I said it didn't matter to me. I was given a room on the first floor. As soon as I entered the room I noticed there was only a shower, no tub. I called and requested to be moved but was told they were full and I couldn't be moved. How is it that just minutes ago I was offered other rooms? It was obvious from the parking lot that the hotel was not full. I believe the staff just didn't want to be bothered. I was very turned off by the soiled toilet. I reported it but was not acknowledged. Overall, it's a nice hotel and very conveniently located. The price is fair. As a Rewards Member, though, I expected better service.

I called the hotel directly to book my room for a Saturday one night stay next month. He was polite on the phone. Said I had til 4 pm the day before to cancel and not be charged. He asked if I wanted the confirmation number given to me as we spoke, or wait for the email. I said I preferred to have it right now, so he gave it to me, and I repeated it back for confirmation. . . Over 70 min later, I looked online, on the website, using my name and confirmation number and it said no reservations with that info. So I called the motel directly again. Luckily i got to speak to the same guy. I explained there is no reservations and his response was I see the reservation here. I said oh hey is there a minimum stay there? He took a deep breath and said no, as long as you stay during the week. !!!??

First employee we came in contact at check in tried to put us in a smaller room then what we paid for. He said when we checked in "is it mandatory to have a sofa sleeper" that was really confusing because why wouldn't you just check us in to what room we paid for. Plus he didn't offer any discount for not having that, and the room was much smaller then what we paid for. Had to go back and tell him we had the wrong room. He did not apologize. Also he did not tell us breakfast times, happy hour or any information at all. Outlets in the room did not work. TV had no signal for the first full day of the trip. Back of the sofa and bed were absolutely filthy tons of debris and dust, and not vaccumed or cleaned. Was sent a text telling us to text back if we need anything so we did... never got a r
