La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Amarillo Mid-City

This was an okay stay. We only ended up here because the motel in Canyon where we originally were staying had bugs. We came to La Quinta and there were no bugs- we looked extensively. The room did need a deep clean, it was only surface level clean. Corners were dirty, hairs in the bathroom, etc. Breakfast was good but BUSY every day. For a motel of this size, the breakfast area really needs to be bigger. I will probably not stay here again unless I’m desperate.

The worst hotel. Their were girl hanging out in the parking lot and another guy in a truck spinning their wheels we did not stay and I spoke with the manager on duty so within 15 minutes we cancelled the room. She said I would be reimbursed my monies within ten working day after the ten day they stated they do not give refund. There were no pillowcase on the pillows the entire room looked to be dirty. I feel that this hotel was for by the hour by less then honorable personal that get paid by the hour or guess. Never ever again would I think about staying at a laquinta hotel again I just as soon sleep in my truck.

**edit-After communication i have learned that the excessive emails came from booking.com, and not la quinta, when traveling to Texas I will absolutely stay here again. The room was actually fine. We have stayed here three separate occasions, one bathroom had black mold, all the bathrooms smelled like mildew, but that's not rare for hotels. The breakfast is great. The service was fine. It wasn't loud. The location isn't that bad. Why the one star rating, you may ask? For each stay I was sent five to seven text messages, both before, during and after our stay. I received 29, I kid you not 29 emails asking me to rate the property. I even replied to three of them to request them to stop pestering me. They responded that they would take my input seriously and then sent me another email askin

Positive: Bed was ok Negative: Bug in bed dirty could not close glass door and didnt lock furniture duct taped and stanined and sticky

I loved this room. I am handicapped and reserved an accessible room. This was the best shower l have ever seen in my extensive travels. The breakfast area was crowded and hard to prepare. They had a nice selection. Unfortunately the serving area was crowded with tables and difficult to get around in. They had waffles shaped like to state of Texas and that made me giggle. I would definitely choose this site if I was in the area again.
