Customer Reviews
The place is located on a small walkable island. Great habor views. The rooms are good, if not in certain locations. We had a bottom floor room that opened to a patio, which had a ping pong table set right in front of it. Privacy anyone? Nope. Second floor rooms are much better. The hot tubs and pools are fine, but not great. They get pretty dirty by evening. It is nice to soak before bedtime, but the areas are full of old containers and towels. The hot tub is not hot. Just a vibe of overuse and less than clean. Maybe it is different in the morning. I have decided to avoid it. The staff are nice. The main building is clean.
Nice property. I received a s'more kit upon check in that I enjoyed at one of the beach fire pits. I liked that they have an adults only pool but that bar was not open. Had to go over to family friendly pool to catch that bar tender before he closed up. |I had a Bay view room and woke up to a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The room was clean and most things were up to par.|There is no elevator or escalator to second floor. The window air unit has a sign that says use the wall thermostat to adjust temp but the wall unit did not work. I suffered through a cool night (I got back to my room kinda late) only to be told at checkout that I should have used the window unit. |Overall decent experience.
Positive: Lush landscaping, beautiful resort outdoors, things to do and experience. Negative: No room service.
I rarely leave reviews. When I do, it is because an experience deviates so clearly from expectations that prospective guests deserve an honest account. This is one of those cases. This property falls well short of what one would expect from a hotel participating in the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts program. From check in to departure, the experience felt transactional and defensive rather than welcoming, with policies, disclaimers, and fees taking priority over hospitality. The hotel itself is dated, with inconsistent maintenance and functionality issues in the rooms. Common areas and accessibility details were lacking, and the departure process was unnecessarily complicated. Communication was poor, including never receiving a final bill. The dining experience reinforced the
Best experience ever. Manager Angie was so kind and accommodating. Our flight was cancelled the day before. She went over and beyond to take care of us which really lifted our spirits. The property was beautiful and clean. We will definitely be back.
