Kona Kai Motel

The staff here are excellent. They were kind and attentive to our needs. The office area was so cute!! We had the smaller queen room with a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was spacious. Room was clean. Only downside was the walls were thin and you could hear other guests. Overall attracted a quieter crowd but bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Location is fantastic!!! Minutes within beaches and great restaurants.

We were so excited to get back to our favorite place to stay on Sanibel post-Ian. The room upgrades are very thoughtful, the bathrooms are much bigger, the room layouts are smart. It's a great set up if you're trying to stay with multiple families or friends as the common spaces are great with multiple grills and everyone has their own living room with plenty of room to hang out. The location is unbeatable and it's so relaxing to walk or bike to the store or to get ice cream. This little motel is such a gem!

Words cannot describe how gorgeous this hotel is and the hotel grounds are! Everything is so immaculately clean and neat. The pool was perfect and had a deep end which we enjoyed! We loved everything! This is our new home away from home. Cant wait to come back in April! The young woman who checked me in was also very helpful and walked to to show me my room and how to use the key pad to get in!

Hello I spent four nights in December at the Kona Kai for a solo trip to sanibel island. I booked my room using AAA best price I found. The vibe is Hawaii and staff super friendly. Megan called me prior to arrival to let me know my room was ready. She explained how to access my room as well as the front desk hours. Throughout my stay she went above and beyond to make the stay pleasant by providing bug spray. My room had 2 queen beds full kitchen refrigerator couch tv and chairs along with outdoor seating. Loved the vibe. Encourage renting a bike and visiting the beaches. Hallmark channel was a bonus considering I visited the luminary weekend

Excellent stay!! Kona Kai is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Perfectly quiet and private, and less than a 8 min drive from the Lighthouse Beach. It is adjacent to Billy's Rentals where you can rent bikes. And is less than 500 FEET from 7-11 making forgetting my toothbrush a rather minor issue. Thet offered flexible check in and check out times and the staff was wonderful. Our room was freshly renovated and was impressively decorated. We are definitely looking forward to visiting again.
