Kona Inn Motel Anaheim

Beds are comfortable. Rooms are a decent size and are cleaned daily. Staff is friendly and available to resolve any room issues. Located in Little Arabia, within walking distance from restaurants and groceries. This motel is slightly run down but prefect for anyone just looking for a room that's affordable, clean and safe.. despite only having a 3 star rating I gave them 5 stars because several of my students stay for a week at a time during our course and they have all reported good reviews to me. I have shared a few pictures of the rooms.

First off the building was halfway burnt down and there still allowing guests which is kinda crazy. Second, the sheets had all had weird stains in them and the walls had holes in them, all the doors and surfaces were dirty. The carpet left your feet black if you walked on them barefoot. This place was crazy. We asked for towels and they refused, said they wouldn’t do it until the morning, so obviously they don’t care about the needs of the customer. Overall, it was a horrible establishment with crummy service.

I don't write reviews. This was such a terribly bad experience that I thought it was important to comment. I am not being vindictive. The management is trying to take advantage of travelers. The management demands an unauthorized $50 "as a deposit" that they knowingly do not tell guest about at any time before or after the booking process, online or over the phone. They will not provide the key unless they extract this from unsuspecting guests. They often send people to an ATM machine on property that they admitted charges an outrageous fee to get get cash from and then they collect some of those fees. The room had a repulsive odor perhaps because the A/C unit filters have never been changed and the unit is decades old but it smelled like old animal urine. The floor was so dirty that ther
