Knights Inn Lake City

The people who work here are incredibly nice. The hotel is what it is for the price. The people who stay there however are another story. Someone stole the gas cap off my car. The original room we were in smelled of mildew terribly but when we notified the front desk they moved us immediately to a much better room. The room they moved us to had one of those joint room doors which we obviously kept locked. But the “characters” who stayed in the neighboring room where constantly messing with the door screaming and whispering into the door which ultimately caused us to leave sooner than we were originally going to. But like i said, you get what you pay for and it is lake city afterall. Again the people working were AMAZING. They were so friendly and helpful and never once rude or made us feel

Positive: The staff was friendly. Easy location to get back on the interstate Negative: The hotel looked run down and the first room they had me in smelled like mold and water damage

Truly the most horrifying hotel experience I've ever had. Arrived exhausted on four hours of sleep only for the check-in process to take 20-30 minutes. They asked for a cash deposit of $100 for the two rooms and told us that we'd have to find an ATM in the middle of the night if we didn't have the cash on us. They also asked for ID. The woman checking us in was friendly, but the process was tedious and long.||||They had no elevator, so we lugged the heavy suitcase up the stairs to the second floor. There were holes cut in the drywall in the hallway and an assaulting array of odors ranging from vapes, weed, cigarettes, and general mustiness.||||There was only one working lamp in the room, but even the dim light was sufficient to view the abhorrent state of the room. The beds are way more comfortable than guest inn. They don't have an elevator so it make it a little bit more challenging but good exercise. The front counter girl is amazing and so friendly she makes the stay feel more like home. I love the beds!!!

STAY AWAY!! This place shouldn’t even get one star. No bed frame, broken furniture, roach infested and awful management! They kept our deposit and we left the room clean. The manager is a lazy lady that has underage teen moms working overnight. The manager while smoking and blowing smoke in my face tells me that because we had visitors that they will keep the 50$deposit. Thieves. And I will be reporting them
