Knights Inn Brenham

Picked this place as it was half way between Austin & Houston. Commuting late one night. Property was sketchy. I checked in and as I was unloading to go in room.. there was alot of activity going on. There was a couple playing with a propane tank near the breezeway. Alot of doors opening to see who was pulling up. I got in my room & the smell was horrendous!!! Couldn't describe it but they were definitely trying to cover some odor up!! I attempted to close and lock the door quickly. The door was so out of wack, there was atleast a 2" gap at the bottom. That was it! I felt completely unsafe. There was no way I was staying there. I grabbed my stuff, loaded up and headed back to front desk. I explained all this, they refused to refund my $. I can say this motel is by far cleaner than most cheap motels. They have the sweetest worker's that enjoy their job. The owners are very nice and live on property. If there's anything wrong with your room the owner hisself will come by and fix it at anytime of the night. I haven't seen any bugs here and the rooms are clean. You can't ask for anything better for the price.

Positive: Staff was good. Negative: the bolt in the door did not line up with the hole in the door frame. The door would not lock. The safety lock worked and I put a chair in front of it. I told the clerk when I checked out.

Rooms - the room was roomy, beds and loveseat were comfortable. Service - Good Location - There's a Mexican restaurant attached to the motel. The food there wasn't the greatest. There's lots of shopping and dining options very nearby.

I am absolutely astonished by how Nasty the rooms are. $90 for one night stay and the bedding is stained with Mold all over and reeks of urine! If anyone rates this facility other than a Do Not Stay, they are lying and it’s management doing the rating! If I could upload photos, I would!!! I “slept” on the nasty sofa just waiting for daybreak so I could leave! Vile, Nasty, Disgusting!!! I know it’s “Low Budget” but at $90 for one night, I wasn’t expecting this terrible!
