Kixby hotel

I stayed at the Kixby hotel from Feb 13-16 and it was everything I could have wanted returning to NYC as an adult having last been when I was 11. I merely went off of countless reviews so I was anxious and too excited. The staff were so welcoming and warm to my mother and I. Entering our room, we had two double beds so the room was quite spacious. We loved the blue that is on the walls and of the light fixture, it feels quite elegant. When entering the bathroom that’s is when we knew I made the right decision when choosing this room. It is huge, with the detailing giving even when on vacay you still can pamper yourself as at home. Wow! My travel agent from virgin recommended this hotel and I'm so glad I listened to her! Everything was amazing especially how they had a water and coffee machines available at whatever time. I don't think I was told about the restaurant that was next door, only found it on the last day. We loved returning from our day trips and being greeting by José! He helped us try and find a way to Jersey Shore as well as another member of staff. The staff were lovely and the rooms were very comfortable. I have heard horror stories about NYC rooms but we were pleasantly surprised! I'm from the UK and I have fallen in love with the city and the hotel! I'm hoping to return at the end of the year! Thank you José for making us feel so welcoming!

I am a travel agent and have booked many clients to this hotel so decided to stay here for my own holiday. This is a fabulous hotel in an amazing location. Yes it’s noisy but it’s NYC! Bring ear plugs. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom had a great shower. If you are light sensitive, bring an eye mask as the blinds did not keep the light out at night time. We were here for 7 nights and there weren’t enough clothes hangers but they soon brought more to our room. The staff are very friendly and always said good morning and welcomed us back on our return. |No need to bring hairdryers or umbrellas as theses are provided along with a water bottle, when you check in|I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

I loved staying at the Kixby! It was centrally located to my office and I felt safe walking to & from both in the morning and at night. The room was a great size and extremely clean, as was the bathroom. The lobby was warm and welcoming, the restaurant attached to the hotel had great food (I got the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, amazing), and they give you a water bottle upon check and there is a flavored water machine on the second floor (along with coffee, tea, and a computer to utilize). I was on the second floor facing 35th and the noise was never excessive, which I was pleasantly surprised at. I had put my Do Not Disturb sign on my door and received a text that they had seen it, but if I wanted to schedule the cleaning team to come back at a later time to text them! A great touch. Overa

Great location, a minute away from metro.  Large rooms with ample space.  Really friendly and attentive staff.  Always greeting and available.  Free tea and coffee all day and great machines with flavoured water at your desired temperature and sparkling or not!  They also have free fruit, biscuits (if you're quick) and a coffee/hot choc machine available from 1pm for a few hours.  Black Tap burger place is attached to the hotel, always great food worldwide.  Overall a great experience at this hotel.  Would book again.
