King George III Inn

We booked our stay through Airbnb and ended up in Room 1, which was surprisingly spacious; a big plus for us since we were traveling with our dog. The inn is clean, pet-friendly, and offers free parking (though spots are limited). Location is excellent, with a nice view and just a short walk to Queen Street and the main area. The host was very kind, responsive, and quick to answer any questions. The charm of the place is undeniable, but you can tell it’s an older property. At first it looks fine, but after a while you start noticing the creaky floors, which means you can often hear others walking around. The walls are thin, so noise from neighboring rooms comes through, and while the fan heats the room well, it’s quite noisy. The biggest downside was that the hot water wasn’t working pro

I would definitely stay again. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The morning basket with fruit juice and cereal bars was a nice thoughtful touch. The location was perfect with bike trail nearby. As well it is a short walk to Shaw theatres, shops and restaurants. Judi was pleasant to talk to and helpful. I'm hoping to return again next year.

Simple, single room with a few necessary amenities and beautiful antique accents makes for a warm, extremely comfortable, short stay.

Wonderful Stay! What a beautiful, peaceful and comfortable place to stay. Its quiet, immaculately clean, very well thought out, and the staff are absolutely wonderful!! The King George Inn has become our home away from home, and my wife and I plan to go there time and time again. The architecture and location is incredible, with a two minute walk to the beach and boardwalk in one direction, and a five minute walk to the downtown area on King Street where we can dine, visit the coffee and second hand shops. I booked this on Airbnb as it was cheap and had a great location. It's clearly dated and there are plans to demolish it to build apartments, so don't expect any new upgrades. Everything is done entirely by Airbnb, but there's a nice lady who does room service. It has everything you need for a place to crash, but nothing more.
