Kimpton Theta New York - Times Square

The hotel was a great location for our visit. The check in was the least friendly part of our visit. Not very helpful not welcoming. The people who serve coffee in the morning are thoughtful and friendly. The people at the door are welcoming and helpful. The housekeeping crew did great. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. HVAC is a bit loud.

Have stayed here several times now. The location is GREAT, and the rooms are good sized for NYC and they are comfortable. The bathrooms are small but usable. I do love the sofa in the king size rooms. I was fortunate enough again to be given a higher floor room. This was a last minute transfer by IHG as I was booked at the new Kimpton Ashbel but it did not make its planned opening date by a long shot. Glad they were able to relocate me last minute. Noe (hope I am spelling that correctly), checked me in and was the best check in experience I have had at this hotel yet. ||Wine hour was fantastic as always. The breakfast is not super exciting but it is adequate. They have now wintered in the outer patio upstairs increasing the seating space for breakfast which is a big help. ||My is

Stayed at the Kimpton Theta in New York and had a really great experience overall. The room was huge by NYC standards, super comfortable, and honestly felt like a luxury after long days in the city. The service throughout the hotel was excellent — friendly, helpful, and professional. The only downside was that the front desk/check-in process was a bit slow, especially at busier times. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. A big plus: the heating was amazing, which matters a lot in the middle of winter. And the location is unbeatable — perfect for Broadway, Times Square, and getting around Manhattan easily. Would definitely stay again!

Positive: The location is excellent. A block away from Times Square and around the corner from several Broadway plays. A block from the train, making it easy to get around quickly. I also like that the hotel has a boutique feel. Negative: I wish they would expand their happy hour for more than ONE hour, similar to the Embassy Suites offering a 2-hour happy hour with light snacks and wine. I think it is a great offering, but 1 hour passes in a NY minute, so I only had 1 chance to enjoy it.

I usually travel too much to be bothered to write a review, but I had such an amazing stay I feel compelled to share. We booked early and got a great rate for 4 people. My friends could not believe what a great deal I was able to find. The other hotels in the area were 200-300 more for 2 nights. I was able to wow them a little bit with my IHG member benefits which included early check in, late check out, and some market credits. The staff is SO nice, from check in to check out. They made sure we had everything we needed and were very prompt when we asked for something. Especially Noeyuh! KT was clean, very well located, and we didn’t have any issues with noises despite being so close to a very touristy area. The rooftop is great but we didn’t spend much time there.
