Kenmore Village Hotel

We stayed at the building, called Davis for at least three nights. As soon as we walked into our building, the elevator was out of order, when we stepped into our room, I noticed there were chocolate smudges in an area of the floor. I thought no biggie the following morning. I woke up to realize that there was also chocolate smudged on my sheets, I raise this concern to the front lobby and they put in a request to switch my sheets, when I came back, they were switched. Then our first night here the Wi-Fi was out when I brought it up to the front lobby. They were very rude and told us they were working on it. It was fixed the next day. I’m not quite sure how I feel about this hotel. When we first arrived, I was impressed by the exterior and the pool area, it looked really nice and gave a great first impression. However, once we received our room, I was very disappointed. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because the listing clearly stated that the room had two washrooms. When we arrived, the room only had one bathroom for our double queen booking plus sofa pull out bed. When we raised this issue with the staff, we were told there was nothing they could do, which was extremely frustrating since this incorrect information directly influenced our decision to book the property. This hotel at first glance seems fine, but LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS!!!! The elevators are all broken, and once I arrived in my room I was shocked. My room smelled like mildew and was so hot. I had an old food wrapper next to my bed on the table. A hole in the wall. Dust on all areas seeming like it had not been cleaned. I travel a lot so I pulled my black light out and found TONS of nasty stains on the bed and pillows that are not noticeable to just the eye. I found hair in my bed as well. I left immediately do not stay!

A pleasant stay! Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was mostly clean and very comfortable. There was a mini fridge and safe as well as towels and shower gel etc... I used the gym a couple of times. It's small but typical for a small hotel and was useful. There were no pool towels and we were advised to use the room towels which they swapped later on. This isn't ideal and surely it doesn't take much effort to remedy this for guests? The walls in the room were paper thin, we literally heard everything from either side. Turning the aircon on and using Earplugs helped a lot. The elevator was out of order and I did see some guests struggling to walk the stairs. Just completed our second stay at Kenmore Village and could not be happier with the experience! Erica at the front desk was so incredibly helpful and able to get us an early check in after we arrived off our red-eye flight and it made all the difference in the world! Rooms are basic, but clean and functional; love the cafe downstairs to be able to grab a coffee and a beverage; cannot be a more convenient location to all the shopping and restaurants in the area. Would recommend and would stay again!
