Really surprised by this site upon arrival. The elevated platform and bench were total upgrades and would be very useful in the rainy season. This camp is a 3.5 mile hike from 75 either by taking the official Seminole trail or by using the swamp buggy trail.
Great spot to camp. There is an elevated platform to keep you off the ground! About 3.5 miles from Interstate 75.
I have been harassed by the swamp people 3 out of 8 times I have stayed here. The kids generally just follow you on bikes and make noises at you, but one time the teenagers came all the way to the camp and were hollering in the sticks nearby while we were cooking dinner. Otherwise great, but 3 stars due to locals being inhospitable.
