Nobles Camp

A nice camping area on the north side of Alligator Alley. It is about 5 miles from the trailhead on the 2 track Florida National Seanic Trail. The trail is solid and usually dry, unlike the trail going south on the other side of the highway. It follows alongside of a canal on the left which is a good place to see alligators and various kinds of birds. There are also some side trails that allow you to make a loop hike and return by a different trail.

Great place to camp or have a picnic. If you take water from the lake, be careful of the resident alligator and make sure you filter it.

Beautiful camp with multiple tent sites and access to water. A beautiful trail from I75 as well.

There is a lot of clear room here. Picknick table and firepit. Well maintained.

This is one of the camp sites at the southern end of the Florida Trail. It is a bit off the main trail and can be accessed by the red and blue trails. There is a metal picnic table here. The area is a little open. A fair amount of trash, which had been collected into a pile but not yet hauled out, suggests fairly high use. I walked through and saw a party of four headed in, obviously for the weekend.
