ITH Nomad Haus Hostel - Downtown San Diego Little Italy

Look no further, there's Dungeons&Dragons games at this house! As a single traveler, I felt very welcome and safe here. People are friendly and helpful. Booked the 'bear cave' which is a nice budget friendly single room option. Recommend!

This place is a steal for the price they offer! Compared to hotels nearby for upwards of $215 for a room this place was super affordable and only $99 for my boyfriend and i to have our own private room with a double bed. the staff was so friendly and welcoming and gave us great service and help with any questions we had upon arrival. i do agree with the other reviews that the walls are thin, however, they supply earplugs in the main office for free so at least they’re aware! we stayed in the annex house with public showers and public living spaces and i have to say everything was very clean and tidy and i was very impressed! with the location being walking distance from amazing downtown eats and little italy right around the corner this place you just have to stop by and stay!!

I booked a weekene at this hostel while getting away from a really bad roommate situation. I was initially pretty shy, but there were many welcoming people that made me feel very safe and welcome. Often the hostel is a place where many lost people find each other. Or maybe you just want a great budget place to stay while you're travelling. Either way, I recommend this place highly.

This is a cozy place to land for anyone outside of San Diego, especially when you’re on a budget. I came from North Carolina and was under the impression the hostel was only for international travelers, but American travelers are definitely welcome! People do not tend to stay for long here, nevertheless it is fun to connect with international people and hang out in the kitchen and common areas. I am usually the biggest introvert but staying here made me enjoy being around people. I wish I had more time to spend with the people I met here as well as staff, who were so accommodating and welcoming, and are working round the clock to keep the place stocked and clean. There are privacy curtains on the beds in the shared rooms and I never felt uncomfortable sharing with the other residents, just

Stayed here in their couples room for a weekend for a convention. Friendly staff and clean beds are all I need to convince me to go back. I ate at several of the walkable restaurants, and made daily visits to the market just under two blocks down the street. Even caught their farmers market for some fresh fruit. Anywhere that is not reasonably walkable can be reached by the city Metro system. And with the fifth street being so close. I usually just walked back in the midnight hours. Also because I was trying to be kind and not make noise coming in late I learned that their fourth step from the bottom and second step from the top of their stairs are a little noisy, so avoid those of you do happen to be out late. 😁
