Island View Motel

Convenient location but no thanks. The Manager Ileine seemed very nice but there was a guy fixing a room and he was screaming and yelling the F word and throwing tools. she said was that’s my boyfriend and rolled her eyes. It was very uncomfortable and likely happens a lot by her response. When I was leaving you could here him yell at his kid. I can’t imagine talking to a kid like that. Sad because they have a beach, a fire pit and close to grocery store and Stewart’s. Would be a nice weekend away.

We wanted to get away last minute and drove over and they happened to have a room for a few days. It is very relaxing and the owner was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Easy parking outside your room but when you step out the back slider what a surprise. Yard space with grills would be a great place to bring kids. With the lake right their for swimming and kayaking and canoeing you need not go any place except to eat. Enjoyed our stay.

We have been traveling to this area for the last 30 years and have spent the last 15 or so summers at the Island View with our extended family. The cousins, now range in age from 11 to 23, all look forward to this family time together. Grandma has made it a tradition to have the family picture from the motel overlooking this beautiful lake. Lake Luzerne is ideal for families and swimming as it does not allow "speed boats". The Island View has a perfect location with a scenic mountain view across the lake, a beach front that enables the kids to build sand castles and play, and kayaks & a canoe to relax or fish. We stayed 2 nights at the Island View Motel in Lake Luzerne, NY. The view from the rear door of our room was serene and beautiful. We were able to park right in front of our door. The shower head provided one of the nicest showers that we have ever experienced. It was extremely quiet without any traffic noise. The facility was very clean and well maintained. This was our second stay at this facility. Saw 2 flocks of wild turkeys while traveling in the area. It was very reasonable.

Stayed one night with our 2 preschool kids. Room was clean with new bathroom and big enough for 4 of us. Quiet location on lakeshore, property has private beach for swimming and provides canoes and life jackets. Great value. We'll stay again. Morning coffee was available in the owners house - would have been nice to have coffee maker in room.
