Island House South Beach Hotel

I am absolutely shocked that this business is allowed to operate. And by all means, DO NOT BOOK THIS VIA 3RD PARTY, because you will be taken advantage of if you need a refund, or if your items are stolen. I booked for two nights. The sheets were not clean (I was thinking there are just some wash-resistant stains but assumed they were clean), place smelled dank, but in a pinch, all surrounding areas were booked. It does get worse. Due to poor communication amongst management, the cleaning staff were under the impression that I was supposed to check out, while I still had one remaining night. I came back to a room full of my personal items scattered across the room: passport, keys, license, credit cards, clothing, as if someone totally ransacked the room, but decided to make the bed.

Stayed one night prior to our cruise trip. It’s a decent option for a one-night stay. The rooms are spacious enough for four people as it had multiple rooms, but the decor and bed frames could use some upgrading. The cleanliness and smell could be improved as well.||The noise level at night was somewhat high, with loud sounds like screaming from outside, which might be a concern for light sleepers.||The breakfast was simple but adequate—coffee, snacks, and a few options to start the day. There are also plenty of places nearby for food, including pharmacies. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach, Lincoln Road Mall, the Art Deco District, and La Leggenda Pizzeria.||Overall, it’s a good for a short stay.

Great location for the beach, shopping and restaurants. Big clean room and lots of toiletries in the bathroom. Nice friendly host.

Stay here for 5 nights. The prices were terrific. The manager and The workers were polite and helpful. They even offer towels and beach chairs, sand toys and umbrellas for the beach which is walkable distance. The rooms were spacious,clean and had a kitchenette. The rooms are a little outdated but all I cared about was cleanliness and that it was! I highly recommend Island House for your next day if you're looking for an affordable and walkable place to stay!!!
