Wonderful stay at Al-Shami! The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, tidy and well-ventilated with fresh air. The bathroom is modern and well maintained. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The bed is very comfortable and perfect for a restful night. Highly recommended for anyone looking for cleanliness, comfort and warm hospitality.

For New York, definitely great value! Great location! Accommodations could be much cleaner. Basics (linens) were clean but a lot of “permanent” dirt, suck as doors, floor corners, walls, hallways, entrance, stairways, etc.

DO NOT STAY HERE FALSE ADVERTISING its advertised as a single room hotel and its actually an apartment building. 2-3 bedrooms per room and shared bathrooms and kitchen. No staff on site, no elevator, absolutely dirty, walked in and walked out immediately after seeing the room. Over 600$ for 2 nights that I canceled immediately (hours before check in) and refused a refund.

My friend and I had a good stay at this hostel. The location is perfect — right in the center of New York City, within walking distance of all the major attractions. We loved being able to explore the city on foot and never had to worry about long commutes. A huge thank you to the host, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. He made us feel right at home and was always ready to help with anything we needed. Recommend this place!

Do Not book Do Not stay.. The room had no heat and it was freezing, uncomfortable to where I had to scramble and find another room to book. The sheets were old and dirty. The bed was so hard no mattress. I did not stay at all and the host did not reply.
