International Inn on the Bay

I am going to be 100% honest, I was scared when we arrived. The lobby is extremely old and outdated as is the hotel in itself. They have updated certain things, our bathroom had been updated and the flooring in our room but it is definitely a very old place. This being said, its was very clean, our room was spotless and smelled fresh and clean. Our room was very big and spacious, most outlets didn't work, but we found enough to charge our phones. The bed was very squeaky and noise definitely traveled but with the ac on it blocked the sound pretty well. The water in the shower was luke warm at best, but hands down on our next trip we would absolutely stay here again, THE VIEW, THE VIEW, THE VIEW! International Inn on the Bay was a 1/5 stars. Simply because of the location and a few other factors. The entrance was absolutely beautiful with a pretty staircase with huge bay windows from the top of the ceiling to the floors. With the view of the city. Just beautiful! A pool that sits behind the establishment with the view of Miami Beach. Located right by the high way with a gorgeous waterfront, the traffic was expected. Not this much! When I say there was tremendous high traffic, there was EXTREMELY high traffic of tourists, possible residents, contractors and random noises throughout the day. Yes, my entire 4 days of stay. Coming in the years is usually not equivalent to ugly…. 100 USD deposit although the room was paid in advance is also unusual und on top the refund of the deposit has to be requested with treatment of legal consequences … an unbelievable experience but unfortunately negative

What a blast from the past. After a long flight, I needed a convenient place to stay, and the International Inn turned out to be a great hidden gem. The room, bathroom, and bedding were all clean, which is exactly what you want after a day of travel. While it is not perfect, the Inn delivers where it matters most and serves as an ideal layover destination. I would stay here again for a short, no-nonsense stopover. .

The property is very old and clearly in need of renovation. Although the room and common areas are marked as non-smoking, when we checked in, the room was already open and had a strong cigarette smoke odor. I stayed for a few minutes hoping the smell would dissipate, but it remained overwhelming. I have asthma and a few-month-old baby, so this was a serious health concern. I informed the front desk, and the staff member came to check the room. However, because we had briefly used the bathroom, she insisted that we had already used the room and refused to move us. She even asked my husband if he smokes, which was inappropriate and upsetting. Overall, the place is not appealing. The Wi-Fi is poor, there is no microwave in the room, the bed is broken, and the bathroom was not clean. This prop
