I recently stayed at InterContinental New York Barclay with my family during our vacation, and overall, we had a wonderful experience. This is truly a high-end hotel that delivers both comfort and service. The staff were kind, welcoming, and consistently friendly — from the front desk to the lobby bar. We especially appreciated the helpful and attentive service team who made our stay smooth and enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was around $50 per person, but it was absolutely worth it. There were great options available, and the quality matched the hotel’s upscale standard. We were also pleasantly surprised by the welcome fruits in our room — a thoughtful touch that made us feel valued as guests. The hotel’s location is another big plus, with easy accessibility to major attractions and co

My husband and I just stayed at the intercontinental Barclay in New York City for a long weekend when we were visiting our daughter. We originally chose this hotel because it was part of the edit collection by Chase. It’s a fantastic location very close to Grand Central Station and walking distance to so many things, including Bryant Park. It was centrally located for us because we split our time between New Jersey, Midtown, and Fidi. We enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet as well as the lobby bar. The craft cocktails and appetizers were fabulous. But what really made our stay was our room and the staff. The wonderful front desk associate Sophy Diaz offered us an upgrade at check-in for what we considered a reasonable amount so we decided to do it. We ended up in a one bedroom two b

I love the Barclay Intercontinental. I happen to love hotels and this is one of my favorites. This weekend the weather was not great in New York. I intended to go shopping at Bloomingdales but I decided to stay in the hotel as I looked out at the snow flurries. love just sitting in the stunning lobby watching the diverse patrons come and go. The rooms are beautiful, immaculate and the beds are very comfortable. All of the staff from the cleaning persons to the concierge, reception and bartenders, and doorpersons are extremely pleasant and professional. The fitness room is a nice size and has just the right amount of equipment. The buffet breakfast was fabulous. Wine selection is varied and prices fair. One of my favorite hotels. I wouldn't mind be sentenced to live indoors forever liike

This should be an excellent experience given its historical stature and price point. It is good but not great. The formerly grand lobby has been transformed into conference meeting space for corporate events, with the lobby overrun with attendees. Not a calming or pleasant experience. Arriving after midnight our first night, the doorman was inside on his desk speaking to a colleague, offering no assistance with luggage or doors. In contrast, check in desk agent was smooth, efficient and pleasant. Concierge desk was empty at 7pm mid-week when we sought dinner recommendations, not what one expects in a hotel of this stature in NYC. Getting towels and water delivered took more than three hours one evening after multiple text requests. Coffee at the connected Oly and Stein was interminably slo

I had a great experience. The staff, including Ralph, Kevin, the bell team, and Steve, were courteous and quick to answer any questions. The hotel has an incredible lobby that feels straight out of the 1900s. Even after renovations, it still reflects the heritage and luxury of a 100 year landmark hotel while never feeling outdated in terms of amenities. Room cleaning was extremely fast, almost like a pit crew operation, and I often wondered how it was possible to do everything so efficiently in such a short time. The location was excellent as well, with every part of Manhattan easily accessible. If you want to experience heritage luxury in NYC, I highly recommend a stay at the Barclay.
