Customer Reviews
Great location, breakfast included, friendly staff, clean rooms. First time staying here and was really surprised at how nice this lodging and base facilities were. 30 minutes to La Jolla and about that to downtown San Diego.
The Inn of the Corps Miramar is a nice facility. It's clean and crisp. ||The front desk staff is friendly and efficient.||The Wifi is great. ||The rooms are very warm, more akin to a Hilton hotel room. Rooms have a mini fridge, coffee maker, desks, and the ||Plenty of parking. It's next door to a park and outdoor sports facility.||The breakfast is legit for a hotel breakfast. Featuring a waffle maker, hot items that change daily, cereals, breads, sweet breads, yogurt, fruit, and juice/milk/coffee/tea.||It is near the MCX, Commissary, Chinese food place, Hawaiian food place, Subway, and a Starbucks. This base is pretty small.||You will hear jets all day, but they rarely go over the hotel.
Very nice inns. I was just staying at a navy lodging and the Corps Miramar inn felt like a huge upgrade. Nicer beds, TV's, fast internet, and well designed rooms. Only downside is that the walls are a bit thin so I could hear my neighbor upstairs stomping loudly at 11PM.
This hotel a gem hidden in the San Diego area. Gives off a resort like feel with modern rooms.
You're probably going to stay here because you have to, and overall it's a decent military hotel. You can walk to the MCX and commissary easily, and there's plenty of parking. The standard rooms are spacious enough for one person, although more than a couple would be crowded. Some points worth noting: - They take out the room trash everyday, but don't make your bed or do anything else daily (every few days the do more). I guess they expect Marines to make their own beds. - While the Semper Fit center is next door, it closes relatively early (like much of the base), so I guess Marines don't work out after dark. - There's a quarter sized fridge in the room (as well as a microwave), which isn't too bad for a longer stay.
