Inn By The Bay Monterey

we had a really nice time. booked it last minute. the rooms are amazing, we had a gaming chair a giant tv and a huge walk in shower, the place was very clean. the reason i rated service a 3 out of 5 is because the cleaning lady just walked right into our room😭 she knocked and came in before my fiancé was even able to get to the door, she came in within like 3 seconds of knocking. other than that it was amazing.

This is an old motel that has had some renovations but at the end of the day it is still an old motel. The baseboards were dirty and the A/C smelled musty. The walkways were dirty. There is a lot of noise from the street. Some bedside lamps would be good and a little paint of the doors and door frames would go a long ways….

Positive: Great location! We were close to everything we wanted and needed! It was pretty quiet there, as well. Negative: The room was dirty. Dirty floors with dust and dirt. The wall were dirty. Hair in bathroom and on bedding. Cobwebs. The shower needed a good scrubbing.

WARNING! The rooms are not as they are pictured on the website. The headboards are really a cross between Ballywood and cheap Vegas. The side tables are like tea trolleys. The chair in the room is a gamer chair. There are no lamps or lights next to the beds. All the lighting is recessed and VERY bright. You really could not get into the fridge because the tea trolley night stand was blocking access.There were only three small pillows on a king bed, we had to ask for more. While the bathrooms were as pictured and were updated aesthetically well, all the lighting was on one switch and again was VERY bright. A linear drain had been put in the shower BUT the pitch of the floor had not been changed so you ended up standing in a puddle of water when you showered. There were no hooks to han

Took a vacation to Monterey for the first time And chose this hotel the rooms are very clean and very nice. Their beds are super comfortable and have Big TVs would definitely stay here again!! Staff is very sweet Definitely would recommend this place and got a room for a good price!
