Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina

This is my second time staying here, and honestly, it was even better than my first visit. Being able to swim and go down the water slide in a heated pool during the winter was such a fun experience — way more exciting than I expected. One of the biggest highlights is the beautiful sunset view. The property is well laid out, so getting around is easy since the buildings aren’t far apart. I also loved the oceanfront gym — working out with a sea view hits different — and having a coffee shop with an ocean view was a huge plus. If I had to mention a downside, it would be that the restaurant options were a bit underwhelming compared to everything else. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind. Value for money and spot on with everything you need at the hotel. Location is good but parking is a pain but we figured out that if you park at Holiday Inn Express 2 miles away and take an Uber back, it’s actually worth it. Rather than paying $55/ night for parking, you can save $40 by doing this. Other than that, you must try their pool and all other activities and kids will never be bored. We also tried their Speed Boat experience and Jet Ski which was also well worth the money.

We had a great stay here. The pool is amazing- it is heated to a very warm temperature in the winter months and the slides are a blast for the kids. Great to have the poolside restaurant as well. We had an issue with the heat not working the first night (it was chilly with our room right by the water) and the Manager of the hotel (Oz) went above and beyond to make up for the inconvenience. Staff was super friendly! Rooms are a bit outdated but seem to be midway through renovation- very comfortable regardless! Great views from the Suite rooms- we could see seals in the morning. Great stay overall.

Beautiful, well appointed hotel. Three pools, water slides, a hot tub, fitness center with lots of equipment, 20 minute walk to Mission Beach. Excellent location to Sea World, Belmont Park, and downtown. Hotel staff friendly and accommodating. Lots of fun things to do for kids. Only complaint I could make is that hospitality didn’t clean our rooms late in the afternoon (after 3pm sometimes 5pm) almost every day. So we came back from our sightseeing to find the room still messy several times. Other than that, a perfect stay!
