Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine

We had a fantastic stay at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had at a Hyatt, especially the smoked salmon bagel and eggs Benedict. The property is very family-friendly, and my son loved the ping pong table, giant chess board, and pickleball court. The real standout was the customer service. Nicole at the front desk noticed my son’s birthday sticker at check-in and went out of her way to make him feel special. She later surprised him with a chocolate cake, card, and s’mores kit. He was absolutely beaming and it truly made his day. Thank you, Nicole! We originally booked here because the Manchester Grand Hyatt wasn’t available, but this will now be our go-to hotel in San Diego.

Our stay started off with excellent service from Omar before we even arrived at the property. He reached out through email and proactively took care of our family before our arrival when a suite upgrade wasn't available. ||Johanna at the front was also great when she checked us in. When we had a small issue with our room key, she gave us Hyatt points for the inconvenience. It wasn't a big deal and it's always nice when the person behind the counter makes a bigger deal out of a service mishap than you. ||Breakfast for globalists was at the lower level restaurant. You can choose between buffet ($35/adult, 1/2 off for kids) or the equivalent in credit and order from the menu. It was also good to know that you can order eggs/omelette with the buffet option. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Our room did have some issues: shower water couldn’t maintain its temperature which was frustrating, and there was always some noise from the upper floor. But, huge shoutout to Nicole at the front desk. She was so awesome! She was so friendly and patient, going out of her way to take care of us during our stay. We have stayed in many Hyatt hotels around the US and the world. Nicole is absolutely among the very best of front desk staff.

Every interaction with the staff I've had here was amazing. This hotel treats World of Hyatt Globalists exceptionally well, providing free daily restaurant-quality breakfast, late checkout, and room upgrades. Hotel is conveniently located near UCSD and UTC (even within walking distance), so plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. The rooms are spacious, maintained in good condition, although wall soundproofing isn't too great. Daily housekeeping is also available, and completed to high standard.

I had an incredible experience at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. The hotel is super clean, well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere feels upscale and relaxing. The beds are extremely comfortable, making it easy to get a perfect night’s sleep after a long day. What stood out the most is how many amenities and activities the hotel offers — there’s really plenty to do, whether you want to relax, explore, or enjoy the facilities. From the pool to the fitness center and everything in between, the stay was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area — great comfort, great quality, and a great experience overall!
