Customer Reviews
The parking is not the best, but it is gated and somewhat safe for downtown SLC. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. They don't do upgrades at this location, so being a diamond member basically just gets you a bottle of water. The breakfast was ok. But for the price, well worth using this hotel.
Positive: The location is perfect for a trip downtown. Great breakfast. Negative: Parking is very limited. Overflow parking require validation. Beds are a bit too firm for me.
THE GOOD - The location is within a 10-minute walk of the Salt Palace. - Free breakfast that rotates every day. There are several different options for those with different preferences. What I had was pretty decent (breakfast burritos, waffles, eggs, sausage, oranges, etc.). - The water temperature and pressure were fantastic! - Staff was friendly. THE BAD - The window has a single-panel curtain, the kind that raises and lowers on a chain. It doesn't quite close the gap at the bottom, and light bleeds through on the side. I had to roll up towels and stuff the gap. There was also a slight breeze that came in at the spot (Feb. 2026). Adding traditional blackout curtains would fix the light issue. - The bed is pretty firm. If there is a pillowtop on the mattress, it has long lost its fluff.
Had to stay in Salt Lake for a conference. This is your typical run-of the mill Hyatt Place. Rooms were standard, albeit a bit dated. Clean rooms and bathrooms, housekeeping did a great job. The dollar price was definitely not worth the room, but booking with points brought back appropriate value. The hotel is right across from Delta Center which is a huge plus for anyone attending a game. Close to other main downtown attractions. Of note, you are right next to the tram so do not be surprised by waking up to loud horns. Also, breakfast is free as is par for the course at Hyatt Places, it was nothing special but did the job. Staff were kind.
Comfortable, clean, and felt safe the entire stay. The room smelled great when we walked in, was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel itself is well kept and quiet. A couple of quirks: the TVs are still on DirecTV with no streaming or casting options (felt a bit like a time capsule), and surprisingly there are no safes in the guest rooms. On the upside, the parking lot just outside the back door is well lit, felt very secure, and costs a reasonable $15 per night. The gym was clean, modern, and empty when I used it. The UTA Trax green line passes right in front on the entry making it very convenient. The Delta Center is just across the street and a block or so to the south. Very well located on the north east part of SLC, very close to everything. With a few tech updates,
