Hyatt Place Fort Worth/Hurst

First of all, all the ladies at the front desk are nice and wonderful. The room wasn’t as nice. It was run down. The room was unacceptable actually—Sat night the toilet stopped working. I told the front desk about it the Sunday morning. They put in a work order. Someone did a temporary fix. It stopped working again that Same night. 2nd problem was with the tv. It wouldn’t pick up the channels I wanted to watch. It kept cutting in and out. I had no tv and no toilet. 2 days like this —-not an enjoyable trip. It Felt like I was camping, but had a comfortable bed to sleep in. I complained about the room when I was leaving. The lady was very nice and was going to pass this along to the GM and have her contact me. The GM never called. I contacted Hyatt by chat tonight. The man told me I’d hav

This hotel appears outdated and poorly maintained, with visible signs of mold and a strong mildew odor. Upon checking in, the room smelled overwhelmingly musty, the bed had visible stains, and the lighting was extremely dim all of which made the space feel unclean and uncomfortable. For the price, this place doesn't meet even basic hotel standards; it felt more like a run-down motel. As someone with autism and OCD, these environmental issues aren't just inconveniences — they are genuine triggers that can lead to sensory overload and emotional distress. The smell, lack of cleanliness, and dim lighting made it nearly impossible for me to feel safe or regulated. The rooms are kind of run down,although spacious. There were areas that were visibly patched up, that would have been better off replaced. Lobby was nice and modernized. Breakfast had good selection and tasted fresh. Coffee station and got water was available all day, but it wasn't kept hot all day. Also didn't like the fact that there were only foam plates and bowls available to use at breakfast.

This hotel is a great budget-friendly hotel, very clean. Even though it is an older hotel (rooms don't have microwaves or USB ports), it is excellently maintained, the staff are friendly and the location is great - terrific Mexican restaurant across the parking lot and other eating places close by. Minor downsides: The breakfast is standard; could use another toaster as one isn't sufficient for guests and have a microwave available in the kitchen area for evening use as the rooms don't have them.

The hotel is "ok" - nothing special. Clean rooms that are larger than most in this price range...and the beds are always very comfortable. My complaints here really have to do with the age of the property and the lack of any meaningful updates since they opened. Hallways are lit with a yellow light that makes the place look old and dingy...customer service lacks any measure of enthusiasm or hospitality....this is just a place to get a good nights rest. Not the place I'd want to spend a family vacation, but it'll do for a work trip.
