I booked an extended stay at Hyatt Place Fairbanks from December 25 to 30, 2026, and throughout my entire stay, I relied exclusively on a rental car for all travel—never once using the hotel’s airport shuttle. This should have made it clear that I had no intention of abusing the service, yet what followed on my final night left me shocked by the hotel’s deception, disorganization, and unprofessional management (including General Manager Bonnie Todman and Assistant General Manager Marie Sopcakova’s team).||For my December 30 stay, I even booked an extra night specifically to rest before my 3 AM international flight to South Korea. After dropping my daughter at the airport and returning my rental car, I took the shuttle back to the hotel. Later that afternoon, a friend was stranded due to an
My husband and I traveled to Alaska for our honeymoon and we loved our stay there! We especially felt welcomed and compelled to make this review thanking Miranda & Alex who are the hotels front desk agents. They were absolutely friendly and kind to us! -The location is Great! -Breakfast excellent! (I did not catch the name of the worker but there was also a woman who was going around pouring drinks. I loved that she went out of her way to do that!)
The location is great, walkable distance to many stores and enough restaurants. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was not exciting. Rooms a little outdated. Shuttle to airport is a plus. Drivers and staff were all very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Marianela was awesome and gave many tips to make the trip to Fairbanks a lot more comfortable and awesome
$150 incidental fee is ridiculous! Then we had to move rooms and they wanted to charge another incidental fee before we even got the first one back! $100 of the first incidental fee was actually charged to is for a pet cleaning fee. We had to explain the dog is a service animal and not subject to a few. We did get refunded but that isn't the point. The point is they didn't disclose that there is a pet cleaning fee because it is not their policy to ask if the animal is a service animal. So I guess their policy is to charge a fee behind your back?
Overall great stay. Clean and nice rooms. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast had a nice spread. The only thing was we didn’t rent a car and we wanted to eat at the bar/restaurant and it wasn’t open. But other than that I’d definitely stay here again.
