Hampton Inn & Suites Fairbanks

Our room was spacious and well-furnished - though we noted that the room door only locked if pushed/pulled very firmly.||The hotel normally offers shuttle service to the airport/railway depot. However, the vehicle had been involved in a serious accident just before our stay, so the hotel paid for taxis to perform the journeys that the shuttle would have provided. ||The only problem we had at the hotel was that, on the first two days of our three day stay, breakfast was poor with no cream cheese, no bananas and (on the second day only) no butter and no fruit at all. We were told that this was due to non-arrival of the supply truck. We were amazed that, when we mentioned this to the duty manager, he said he knew nothing about any problems with breakfast. Positive: The location is all. Negative: Almost everything, we've stayed here many times and doubt we'll return. TV didn't work, front desk person was too busy to repair it, carpets in the rooms need cleaning, shower heads are clogged. This Hotel for the extremely high room price is horrible.

We stayed here on Christmas night and it was a great choice. Plenty of parking, and the location was perfect — close to downtown Fairbanks but also convenient for the self-drive excursions we had planned. As a Hilton employee myself (in Seattle) I have to shout out Rachel at the front desk. She worked a double on Christmas and was still incredibly cheerful, friendly, and helpful. She’s a true star employee and made our stay even better. Clean, affordable hotel with nice rooms — would definitely recommend!

If you are booking this hotel because of the hot tub, think twice. It has been broken for the past 4 days! No one seems to know what’s wrong or when it will be fixed.. Breakfast is exactly the same everyday too. Rooms are great.

We stayed at Hampton Inn in Fairbanks twice for a total of five nights in January 2026. We were on an Aurora viewing trip and saw some great activity. We spent three nights at Hampton, then decamped to Borealis Basecamp, came back for two more nights then went home. Services are typical of Hampton, which is why I usually chose this brand first when using Hilton app. Staff was uniformly friendly and helpful, within the limitations of what was broken. Room: nice studios both times, rooms were spacious and clean, with fridge and microwave. TV remote didn't work, had to go to desk to swap it out. Once I got a functioning remote, the TV worked fine and had a nice selection of channels including HBO. Second time chose room on fourth floor facing north for a better view. Remote worked fine there
