Pike's Waterfront Lodge

Stayed here during winter and had an above average experience. The location is great—only 5 minutes from the airport with a convenient shuttle service—and the frozen river right behind the property was a beautiful sight. We encountered a Moose family on-site too! Most of the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, though I had a less-than-pleasant interaction with one middle-aged female staff member who wasn't very welcoming. They offer both rooms and cabins. They offer breakfast with very few options. Though the food tastes good, menu has some room for improvement. Overall it wasn’t that bad.

Nice fun hotel. Was there in early March where they had sledding onto the frozen Cheena River, they had reindeers you can visit, free aurora movie and as previously mentioned the Cheena river was frozen which allowed you to walk on it for miles. The continental breakfast was better than average. If staying more than a day though I suggest a rental car or else the Uber can add up. Also the free pickup and drop shipping fed to the airport and Alaskan railroad was very beneficial.

We had such a lovely stay with Pike's Waterfront Lodge. The staff were very friendly, Dawn in particular was incredibly kind and went out of her way to ensure we had an exceptional stay. We stayed in the main hotel the first night and the new Love Alaska rooms the second two nights of our stay. ||The grounds around the hotel are super fun. We made good use of the sledding hill, took a ton of pictures in front of the love Alaska sign, and really enjoyed sitting by the fire in the main lobby. There was a lot to do- board games, the onsite reindeer, walking on the frozen Chena river- we needed another day to really see and do everything available.||The location is quite close to the airport, but we didn't hear much airport noise at all. The advertisement said, “Welcome to a beautiful hotel in Fairbanks,” but I have to disagree—it isn't just "beautiful," it is hands-down the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in within the USA. For the reasonable price, the value you get is incredible. ✨First Impressions ✨ Pike’s Waterfront Lodge I just arrived at Pike’s Waterfront Lodge last night, and everything so far has been absolutely wonderful! ✨ The airport shuttle experience was seamless — I literally walked out of the airport and straight into the van. The driver was so kind and helped load and unload my bags, which meant a lot since I was feeling pretty sick after my flight. From check-in to breakfast, every interaction with the staff has been incredible. Dawn has been helping me since about a week and a half ago when I first called with questions, and she’s been just as sweet and helpful in person.
