Hyatt Place Eugene / Oakway Center

A very convenient and comfortable hotel to stay in while having a conference near U of O. The shops and a wonderful brewery provided a nice atmosphere to unwind in the evenings. I especially love how clean and cozy the rooms were -- spacious, quiet, and well-cooled. I was able to take the stairwell to the hot tub and pool without having to walk through public hallways and riding elevators in my wet clothes. The breakfast was amazing and a great value for money. I appreciated the serving of warm and well-prepared oatmeal with a large variety of toppings--I ate that for consecutive mornings, together with an omelet and bacon. I felt cared-for at this hotel...truly.

Both times I’ve stayed at this property (including this evening) the hot tub has been closed for repairs. Because of that, I have to give this property the lowest possible rating. It’s cold, my back is having the worst muscle spasms, and I was SO looking forward to some time in the hot tub. It’s a newer property, so why’s the hot tub down?

Lovely stay as always at Hyatt. Super cheap parking, friendly as heck staff, and my gosh the breakfast spread! Included in my Explorist rate, and there were multiple people there to help with food. Best free breakfast I've had so far :) EDIT: I stayed for another few nights 3 weeks later, and as I stepped into the lobby I was greeted BY NAME by the front desk agent, who remembered me. Delightful place!

Positive: The food Negative: The pool was broken (the pool was the main reason why my family chose to stay there again). They said they would text me a sister property location with a pool we could use, But never did. Charged me $20 to park in their empty lot they didn't last time.

The rooms are beautiful & spacious. The Breakfast for $11 is amazing. The kitchen staff was welcoming and did a great job. But the sky bar is overly priced & the bartender is rude. The front desk person was rude and not kind at all checking us in. We didn't feel welcome at all. First time in Eugene & this hotel. Last time staying there. Too many rules. Did not feel like a home away from home.
