Hyatt Palm Springs

I saw many negative reviews online, which I didn’t read before coming. The 9,000 points rate for a December weekend was very tempting. The location is excellent—very close to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway if you’re visiting, with plenty of great places to eat and explore nearby. Compared to the Grand Hyatt Palm Springs, this location is better, and we also had a more enjoyable experience here than at the other hotel we stayed at previously.||||We arrived at 2:00 PM, but the room wasn’t ready until about 3:00 PM when we received a text. The front desk guest service was just okay—there was no explanation of amenities and no acknowledgment of my Hyatt membership. As others have mentioned, the rooms are quite dated. As a globalist member of Hyatt, I’ve grown to expect rather lovely accomodations..however; the Hyatt Palm Springs disappoints! First the positive and the reason for selecting this specific Hyatt is its location, perfectly situated in the heart of Palm Springs! Parking is easy, the public areas light and bright, nice pool area, decent bar and lovely breakfast. Also the staff are helpful and personable! All seemed well until we actually went to the room! ||As a member reward were upgraded at booking to a pool side suite. Here’s where it went downhill. Our Cabana Suite was outdated, shabby, smelled like old smoking with thin walls and a pull out couch far beyond its sell-by date by about 20 years. Positive: Great location in Downtown Palm Springs. Available street parking . Negative: we had a great stay, nice big room that felt like 2 rooms. pool was small, would not recommend for a family with kids wants to be poolside for hours.

Just got to the hotel and the service and location are both great! Front desk people were very friendly however, the room is very run down. I happened to come on a day they were having a street fair and so my room location was not ideal as it required me to walk outside to access. It was dark, much older, stained chair and ottoman, and overall not great. I requested a room change and got a much more updated brighter and larger room. I still would give this hotel overall 3-3.5 stars because of the great service and location is fantastic. However, I won't be staying here again due to the not updated rooms.

This place is amazing for where it is located. It’s very central downtown. Their breakfast is great as well. However when we stayed here their hot water wasn’t working and force me and my husband to take cold showers (January 2026). We complained about it at the front desk which they send an engineer to fix but the next morning the issue persists. We have plans in the morning then to deal with this issue. The room is outdated, wallpaper is peeling, the tables are stained. The bed is very worn out. Not comfortable to sleep in. Theres a fridge in the room no microwave though. Only available downstairs. The dog treats at the front desk are stale. My dog didn’t want to eat it.
