Hyatt House New York/Chelsea

We were very pleased with our stay at the Hyatt House / Chelsea. Clean rooms in an excellent location for our visit. 10 minute walk from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden or Macy's. Staff members were very friendly, professional and helpful. ||||Rooms are small as typical for virtually all hotels in Manhattan and well designed to use the available space efficiently, especially making the bathroom large enough to feel comfortable. In fact, it was large enough that we were able to set up the luggage rack in the bathroom for an extra small suitcase, though we had to move it to use the ironing board. There was a good desk for working as well as a small refrigerator and microwave in our room (so not as fully equipped as some other Hyatt House locations in other cities). ||||We were l

Great location in the heart of Manhattan, with easy access to everything. The breakfast is simple but honest and does the job, we stayed for 4 nights and there was always something different. We stayed in a studio with an incredible view from the Empire State and the One World Trade Center! The rooms are a bit outdated, but nothing that compromised our stay. What really stood out was the friendly and attentive staff — always helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

It's one of the good hotels I stayed at NYC. It's very close to subway (one block to red/yellow) line. I stayed at one bedroom with working desk/mini kitchen/dishwasher/microwave/in room washer and dryer. The small space has everything. The cleaning lady did a great job to clean our room every day. The front desk manager Vonetra (Ms. V) remembers my room number when I returned a hotel umbrella. Very impressive, personal service. Breakfast was fresh too. I love boiled eggs and they have real eggs, not the frozen one from store. Very happy overall and will stay here again next time.

I’m disappointed in my stay at the Hyatt. I stayed here last weekend for 3 nights and my room was VERY hot. I woke up several times throughout my sleep/naps covered in sweat. There were 3 of us in the Penthouse room and we all felt uncomfortable. There are 2 thermostats in the room and 2 vents. We were told the thermostat near the bed does not work and the one near the front door is the one that controls the temp. Well as you can imagine on one side of the room it was cool and on the other side next to the bed it was very hot. I actually got sick from the 2 different temperatures. I spoke with the front desk staff (who were all compassionate) about the AC several times. They sent up an engineer, who did not come up with any diagnostic tools, and told us that there was nothing he could do.

Had a wonder stay at the Hyatt House New York/Chelsea! Pull right up, unload with help, easy fast check in, amazing room and postcard view... all fantastic. Was on the top floor and an amazing view of the Empire State Building.|Special thanks and great job go out to Sara. Had multiple questions ahead of time and Sara was patient and so helpful. She helped get the room wanted and a great check out. Thank you Sara!|The one mention was breakfast, not as many things as was hoping and the omlette station has been discontinued but there was so much in the area, it was not an issue.|Thank you to everyone for a great stay!
