Hyatt House Atlanta/Cobb Galleria

I requested a quiet room at check-in. Instead, we were placed overlooking a major highway. Fine. The property is older — the TVs, bathrooms, and décor are dated — but I was willing to overlook that. I bought earplugs. I took sleep aids. I compromised. Because ultimately, a hotel only needs to do one thing well: provide a decent place to sleep. Unfortunately, this hotel cannot even manage that. The bedding situation started off oddly — what passed as a blanket was essentially a sheet, and additional pillows required multiple attempts due to communication issues. We pieced together something usable from the assortment eventually delivered. Then came the mattress. It was severely worn out, sagging dramatically in the middle. I've stayed at this location at least 6 times. First time in smaller room (usually get the suite). Check-in was smooth and efficient. Font desk attendants were nice and helpful. As expected, room was much smaller than normal, but clean. I did notice a lady bug and some other tiny flying whatever. Not a huge deal. I'll be back.

We were impressed by the cleanliness of the facility even if it has pets. The grounds, hallways and room are immaculately clean and smells nice. The only thing we noticed was that there were pieces of dirt that gets to the couch, i believe its coming from the vent and the carpet is slightly frayed by the entrance ( by the section where the carpet and hardwood meets). Very good breakfast with lots of different options to choose from. Otherwise, we love our room and definitely enjoyed our stay. We now have a place to come home to when we visit Atlanta again. Perfect location for our needs. Friendly staff. Clean, we would stay there again. Minor problem was kitchen/bar was closed.

DO NOT SUBJECT YOURSELF to the misery of possibly being in a room near a dog/dogs at this thin walled hotel. It’s 10:35p.m. and after 3 calls to front desk, Alex, night desk clerk, insists there’s no way to contact the barking dogs’ owners to return and quiet their dogs. I’ve been offered a different room - get dressed, pack and change rooms. Sidenote: Dog feces was also in hallway earlier. Very poor pet policy - don’t risk it. AVOID THIS HOTEL unless you have a barking dog that wants a place to bark endlessly without consequence or comfort from their owner. This management is not a problem solver or concerned about customer satisfaction.
