Hyatt Centric Key West Resort & Spa is the perfect holiday spot if you’re looking to relax and soak in the island vibe. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The turtles and the macaw on the property were a huge hit with the kids and added a fun, unique touch to the experience. The rooms are bright and airy, and sitting on the balcony while hearing the ocean breeze is simply wonderful. The location is another big plus, it’s within easy walking distance to Mallory Square, making it perfect for catching the famous sunset, and there are plenty of great places to eat nearby. We also enjoyed the food and service at Four Flamingos, which was excellent and a great option right at the resort. Overall, a fantastic place to stay in Key West

Great place to stay. My husband and I did a spur of the moment trip to Key West without even booking a room. When we arrived, Shantell (Zimbabwe,) was the young lady who checked us in. We explained to her that we were on a spontaneous trip, had packed for the mountains, but ended up in Key West with zero reservations. We asked for a room with a balcony and a view of the water-- and she delivered!! She definitely made sure we had what we were looking for, because we walked into our room to be surprised with TWO balconies-- one overlooking the water and one overlooking the business area. After she checked us in, she gave us each a complimentary Pina colada and made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay! Our room was huge-- and beautiful! Very modern, bright and clean. We stayed here over the long weekend MLK weekend. Everything was great from check in to check out. We arrived late and Jake at the front desk was extremely professional and welcoming. A great segue to our weekend. THANKS JAKE! Our room was nice and housekeeping was great. TJ at the bar was fun and made a great cocktail. I think the only issue was that the hot tub was NOT HOT (tepid at best) and we were really looking forward to a nice soak after exploring all day and the pool was FREEZING. We did mention it to someone but nothing seemed to be rectified during the stay. This resort is pricey and the resort fees are high - the amenities should be spot on. Great location - very courteous staff. We would definitely consider staying again when we pop down.

Positive: Very nice property and conveniently located on north end of Duval. Negative: The elevator was out for several days and we had to climb four flights of steps several times a day. I had recent hip surgery so that was a serious challenge for me.

Rooms are incredibly expensive for what they are. On the plus side, they're large and roomy. On the negative side, they're old and run down. Bathroom fixtures were rusty, tile is coming off, etc. Service was generally friendly, though not super fast. We were initially assigned a room along the parking lot which was loud and not good. Front desk moved us to a much nicer room which was appreciated. Kudos there (though getting a nice room to start would have been better). Location was excellent. Pretty much unbeatable. And the pool and Jacuzzi are quite nice. In summary, go for the location and the people, if not the rooms.
